Robert V. Housley

Rob Housley’s practice is focused on mergers and acquisitions, as well corporate and securities law matters, where he represents entrepreneurs, emerging growth companies, venture capital and private equity funds and strategic acquirers. Rob advises clients on a wide variety of matters including, formation, equity structures, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity financing transactions, debt financing transactions and corporate governance matters. In his role as the head of the firm’s M&A Practice Group, Rob counsels venture and private equity-backed targets, public and private strategic acquirers and venture and private equity-backed serial acquirers through all aspects of preparing for and executing complex merger and acquisition transactions.
Prior to joining Kastner Gravelle LLP, Rob was General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Upland Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: UPLD), a serial strategic acquirer. Prior to becoming general counsel of Upland Software, Inc., Rob was a corporate and securities and M&A attorney in the Austin, Texas office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, P.C. and the Boston, Massachusetts office of Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP.
Rob received his law degree from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. He received a B.A. in Economics (Concentration in Business Fundamentals) from The University of Texas at Austin.
