Jerry Galvan is a partner in Kastner Gravelle’s Corporate Group.

Jerry represents high-growth companies and venture capital firms in many areas, including debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate formations, general corporate and securities matters, and secondary transactions.  

His experience ranges from the representation of clients in early stage seed financings through late stage growth equity investments, and clients engaged in buy- and sell-side strategic transactions. Jerry also frequently serves as outside general counsel to private companies. Jerry’s clients are primarily engaged in software and software-enabled services or consumer products and brands.

Jerry began his career as a corporate attorney in the Austin, Texas office of Vinson & Elkins, LLP and has been practicing at Kastner Gravelle since 2011.

Jerry graduated with High Honors (top 5%) from the University of Texas School of Law where he was a member of the Texas Law Review and recipient of the Dean’s Achievement Award.  Jerry received his B.B.A. with honors from the Business Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business with an emphasis on Management Information Systems.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Jerry worked as a Manager of Professional Services at Sungard Energy Systems where he directed project teams and developed code for energy trading software programs.
